Art Journal | Mission Inspiration | Feb 2017

Hello everyone,

Happy Sunday to you all! I finished making Feb 2017 art journal page following Mike Deakin's Mission Inspiration for the year. So, here is the set of instructions we were to follow:
I did everything, except adding a Washi tape, as you can see my page was looking quite full on its own:

The greyish colours on the motifs here are actually teal blue in metallic paint, therefore they shine a little differently depending on the lighting.

Brief step by step process:
1. Prime a craft paper using texture paste, and do stencilling using Monte Marte modelling paste. Let it dry.
2. Spritzer some colours, darker on the edges.
3. For the hearts: Stamp some music script using watermark ink and fold the paper in half. Draw half hearts on the edge and cut out neatly for a heart that is uniform on both sides. (I hope that makes sense. :P)
4. Glue book fragments and the hearts cut out in step 3.
5. Add focal image, as it'll give you a more clear space for putting the sentiment/journaling.
6. Splatter with black and white acrylic paints.

A few more close ups:

Materials used:
1. Motif stencil
2. TCW Art is stencil
3. Little Birdie colour splash
4. Camlin watercolour brush pens
5. BoBunny Alpha

8. Inkadinkado music script stamp set

I hope you got some ideas and got inspired. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below. Thank you for visiting. :)

Until next time,
Sweety.
