Muse Card Club | Guest Design

Hello,

I am honoured and excited to tell you that I am guest designing for Muse Card Club today. I decided to make a bright and happy card with just a single focal image.

This is for a friend who has her birthday next week. I would have used a Happy Birthday Sentiment but I didn't have the sentiment in this size! :( But well, "Friends are a gift." :P

You can see how I have used foam adhesive to adhere the lotus, and this makes the flower pop. Do you know lotus is my favourite flower? It has a huge significance across cultures, from Buddhism to Hinduism. It grows in muddy waters, and blooms. It inspires you to do greater things in life, bloom in all circumstances.

Oh, for the lower part, I added an off white paper, and added criss cross pattern on it using Scoring board. I also used Nuvo gold drops on each junction. I didn't know it will look so elegant. :)

For the flower, I used Mudra Craft Stamps Lotus bloom. I recently bought two colours of Koi water colour brush pens and used them here. Gold embossing makes the flower look so elegant. This also brings everything together, with gold everywhere.

Finally, I gold embossed the sentiment on a black strip of paper and matted it on a gold glitter paper.

I hope you like how it turned out. And get inspired and join in the fun at Muse Card Club.
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome day.
Sweety.

  3. How absolutely stunning! Love how the gold looks combined with the hot pinks. And I didn’t know the symbolism of the lotus flower, so not just beautiful to look at but a beautiful meaning too. Thanks for linking up and joining in with AAA Cards birthday celebrations!
