Crazy birds

Hello,

I hope this week started on a fabulous note for you. You know how you see a design or pattern and it gets stuck in your head for a long time. This happened with a comic book style card I saw long ago. Here's my take on it:

I started with creating some blocks and stamping 3 birds randomly. Then I drew some patterns here and there, mainly speech bubbles.

I then used TouchNew alcohol markers to colour everything.

Finally, with Sakura Micron pens, 02 and 08, I added details like polka dots and lines.

I am in love with how it turned out.
Off to my second card: I made this one pretty simple. I turned the cute little bird into a unicorn.

The sentiment is handwritten. I used Fevicryl 3D liner to draw the clouds. What's magical without glitter!

For the rainbow clouds, I actually cut a scrap paper in this design, and used it as a mask/stencil.

I hope you like my effort.

Thanks for stooping by. Have a nice day.
Sweety.

1. Twofer card challenge: I used to have birds as pets. It was long ago and I don't know the breed but I remembered they changed the colour of their wings. It was a pretty red in summers. :)

  1. Wow, what stunning designs and attention to detail, Sweety! I've never "met" a real-life cartoonist before, but you certainly are one! That takes an enormous amount of talent, drawing, and coloring skills! And I love how you turned your crazy bird into a unicorn with that fabulous imagination of yours! Thank you for joining us in Twofer Card Challenge #4! I hope to see you again next month! (A gentle reminder to take a photo of both your cards together for the linky. :) Hugs, Darnell
