CAS Berries card
Hello,
I have a stamp set I purchased long ago. I don't know exactly what are these, are these berries or grapes? But for today's card, I decided to treat them like grapes because my background is purple, and grapes are purple as well. ;)
I used Camlin water colour cakes, that I borrowed from my 10 year old cousin, to colour everything. And I love the results. It might be meant for kids and students but I'm in love with these and I am going to buy them!
To stamp the image, I used Versacolor black ink. Surprisingly, this ink did not smudge with water colour. Usually, you'd need to heat set it to make sure it doesn't move while using copics. I kept the colour palette very limited, although I did throw in a little yellow in the leaves and a tiny red dot on the berries/grapes, for added interest.
I fussy cut a small little image and added it to the panel using foam dot to make it stand out a little.
This was a surprisingly easy to make card and I hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a nice day.
Sweety.

The colours are so bright and fresh! They're fabulous. The watercolouring you've done is gorgeous too - hard to believe that you borrowed the watercolour, since it looks so accomplished! Fabulous card and a great example of 'something borrowed'. Thank you for joining us at As You See It Challenge.
ReplyDeleteI love your watercolouring, and who would believe that such fine results would come from a child's set of watercolours! Wow! I like that you also borrowed the layout for your card! Great examples for this challenge! Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenge.
ReplyDeleteThis is just delightful! I am scared of purple (!!!) so to see it used so brightly and vividly is very brave to me! I just love the details you gave your berries too, very realistic! So cool you borrowed the watercolors!! Thanks for sharing this with As You See It this week!
ReplyDeleteOh you did More than justice Sweety! What a deliciously interesting colouring and a gorgeous colour scheme. Am also surprised that the colours are Camlin watercolours.. cool!! I have been underestimating them, I must also get my hands on them now. So glad that you participated in the Muse this week. Thank you. Love, Ishani.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully and thoughtfully coloured - love how you added other shades to add more interest! Thanks for joining us at Muse this week!
ReplyDeleteSuch amazingly vibrant colours on your beautiful card. And I think they’re definitely grapes.
