Belated birthday card

Hello everyone,

I hope you are full of energy and vigour, after such an awe-inspiring Republic Day parade! Anyone can get lost in the exciting, patriotic movies and tv shows that thronged the TV yesterday. So, of course, we might just miss wishing someone a happy birthday. Here's a card that might as well fit the occasion:

It's a one layer card. Literally one layer. And I have never made one before. I was so happy with what I created that I went on to create more OLCs. I will post them soon. 😇

I coloured one of the crazy birds from Tim Holtz alterations stamp sets with Camlin water colour brush pens. A lot of people are crazy about Zig markers, but they are a bit on the higher price range. 😣 I will someday save some money to buy them. But for now, I know that Camlin brush pens work wonders, and come at such a cheap price. 😁

I went around the image with Distress Oxide ink very lightly, and also stamped some texts here and there with the same ink. I hand drew the balloon. So, it looks less artistic than what the actual balloon Tim Holtz designed. I also embossed the edge of the card to add the illusion of dimension.

I hope you like my effort. Before you go, I wanted to ask, is my dog a good photo prop? 😂
Thanks for stopping by.
Have a creative day.
Sweety.

Entering this to:
1. Casology Week 284: This crazy bird looked so sorry for being late. So, I married the theme of this challenge to my image to get the belated birthday card.

2. Less is more #363: I have never done OLCs and this challenge motivated me to push my boundaries and do more. This one is going to be so easy to mail.

3. Addicted to stamps and more #276: Well, anything goes. But the CAS card of Chitra, the winner of the last challenge was something I loved. So, I decided on a single focal image initially but then I just couldn't help adding details. :)
