Birthday card: snowflake

Hi everyone,

I posted this card long ago on Instagram (it's just so easy with phone in your hand), but blogging it was eluding me. Finally, it's here. I made this for entering the Papericious challenge for July 2016. Here is the extremely versatile moodboard they have for the month:

Everything about this moodboard invokes creativity. I made this card using Papericious Color celebrations paper pad. I wanted more of a gender neutral card, but then it's a girl this is meant for. So, I used the combination of glitter and doily to make this card:

For the centerpiece snowflake, I used a Sizzix snowflake die, and for the rest, I used 2 sizes of snowflake punch. Here is a closer look at the card where you can see the dimension a little better:

And finally, i realised I lacked a sentiment to go with this modern looking design. So, I decided to write my own. The lines on this paper made it really easy to write in a straight line.

I outlined the word "snowflake" with a silver pen! not so visible here. :(

I hope you visit Papericious blog; they do have some pretty awesome inspiration for card makers, and of course, pretty paper designs. :)

Thanks for visiting. Have fun! :)
